Solar Pond Pump: Turn Any Birdbath Into a Living Water Feature

Got a birdbath, a small pond or a patio water bowl that just sits there? This solar pond pump turns still water into a sparkling moving feature – powered entirely by the sun, with no batteries to replace and no cable to run to an outlet.

Drop the pump into the water, place the solar panel in direct sunlight, and pick your spray pattern from the included nozzle attachments. Moving water looks beautiful, sounds relaxing, and even helps discourage mosquitoes from settling.

The complete kit: solar panel, pump and spray nozzle attachments

Why You’ll Love It

• Zero running costs – the solar panel powers the pump directly, so there are no batteries to buy and no electricity bills.
• No wiring, no outlet – place it anywhere the sun shines, even far from the house. Setup takes minutes.
• Changeable spray patterns – swap between the included nozzle attachments to go from a gentle bubbler to a tall jet.
• Instant garden upgrade – moving water brings sound, sparkle and life to birdbaths, small ponds and patio water bowls.
• Attracts birds and wildlife – birds love moving water, so your birdbath becomes a much busier spot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the solar pond pump work on cloudy days?
It needs direct sunlight to run at full strength. On overcast days the spray will weaken and it may stop entirely in heavy cloud. Place the panel in the sunniest spot you have for best results.

Do I need batteries or a power outlet?
No. The solar panel powers the pump directly, so there is nothing to charge and no cable to run back to the house.

Can I use it in my birdbath?
Yes, as long as the pump sits fully submerged. Keep an eye on the water level in hot weather because the spray increases evaporation, and top up when it runs low.

How do I change the spray pattern?
Pull off the fitted nozzle and push on a different one from the kit. Each attachment gives a different height and spread, so try them all and pick your favourite.
