Motion Sensor Lights That Switch On the Moment You Walk In

Fumbling for the light switch with your hands full is a nightly ritual nobody enjoys. These motion sensor lights fix that – they sense you coming and switch themselves on, then switch off again when you leave.

No wiring, no electrician, no tools. Just mount the slim LED bar where you need light and let it do the thinking for you.

The motion sensor light – a slim LED bar with a built-in motion sensor

Why You’ll Love It

• Light exactly when you need it – the PIR motion sensor detects you approaching and switches the LEDs on instantly. Walk away and it turns itself off, so you never waste energy.
• Only works in the dark – a built-in daylight sensor means it stays off during the day and only activates in low light. Clever and efficient.
• USB Type-C rechargeable – no more buying and binning batteries. Just plug in the cable to top it up, then pop it back on the mount.
• Mounts anywhere in seconds – stick it under kitchen cabinets, inside wardrobes, along hallways or staircases. No drilling, no wiring, no fuss.
• Bright, even LED glow – the full-length LED bar throws a clean, even light that actually lets you see what you are doing, not a dim puddle.
• Perfect for night-time trips – soft enough not to blind you at 3am, bright enough to find your way safely to the kitchen or bathroom.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the battery last on one charge?
It depends on how often it triggers. In sensor mode, where it only lights up for a few seconds at a time, most users find a single charge lasts several weeks to a couple of months. If you use it in always-on mode, expect to recharge much sooner.

Will it turn on during the day?
No. The built-in daylight sensor detects ambient light and keeps the lamp off while the room is bright. It only activates when it is dark and it senses movement, which is what makes it so energy efficient.

How do I install it without drilling?
The light is designed for tool-free mounting – it fixes to smooth surfaces with its mounting system in seconds, no screws or drilling needed. When the battery runs low, just lift it off, charge it via USB Type-C and pop it back.

How far away does the sensor detect motion?
The PIR sensor typically picks up movement from around 3 metres away within a wide detection angle. For best results, mount it where you will naturally walk past, with a clear line of sight and away from heat sources like radiators.
