How to Choose Light-Up Halloween Toys

Glow toys are Halloween favourites – here is what to check before you buy:

• Battery or shake-to-glow: Battery-powered lights give a brighter, longer-lasting glow. Check whether batteries are included so there is no last-minute scramble on Halloween night.
• Brightness: A good glow toy should be clearly visible in the dark – great for keeping track of little ones on evening trick or treat routes.
• Safety first: LED glow is the safe choice for children – all the magic of candlelight with no flame, no heat and no mess.
• Sturdy handle: A proper stick handle means small hands can wave and carry it easily without dropping it.

This is the most-asked question – and an important one to check on any light-up toy, so you are not caught out on Halloween night. Please check the packaging on arrival for battery details.

Is it bright enough to be seen outdoors?
Yes. The LED glow shines through the jack-o’-lantern face clearly in the dark, making it easy to spot little trick or treaters on evening routes.

Is it safe for young children?
Yes – there is no flame and no heat, just a cool LED glow. It is designed for children aged 3 and over with adult supervision.

How do you turn the light on?
Simply switch it on and the pumpkin glows. The stick handle makes it easy to carry and wave while lit.

Can it be used as a decoration too?
Absolutely. Pop it in a vase or prop it on a shelf and it doubles as a glowing Halloween decoration for your home or party table.

Will the stick handle break easily?
The stick is designed for little hands to wave and carry. As with all toys, gentle play keeps it looking its best.
